Ketosis, Day 4-6

Day 4: thirst is much diminished, as is the brain fog and headache. I am feeling much more energetic and less hungry. I feel more stable and less prone to feeling "hangry*" or shaky if I wait a while before eating. Generally I feel like I could eat, or not. I think my brain is starting to run on ketones. Hopefully this continues.

* Hangry is a word my sister made up to describe the state in which one's emotions are driven by hunger. Generally, these are emotions of crankiness and perhaps even anger.

Day 5: woke up at 6:10am, 30 minutes before the alarm. Felt perfectly alert and energetic, so I got up. In the evening I did not have the usual urge to lie motionless on the couch after the day's activities were over.

Day 6: woke up at 5:30am and was perfectly alert again. I decided this was getting ridiculous and went back to bed until 7:30. Once up, I worked out for 40 minutes (Insanity Power and Resistance). After that I had a craving for tuna and avocado, which is what I had for breakfast. I had a slight headache today, but it didn't last long. As I sat down to work, had a distinct feeling of wanting to get up and move around. In general, I don't feel like something as simple as going to the store involves cutting through dried molasses as I did just a week ago.
